Zero Waste on Riva

As part of the program at Alta Bank’s All-Star Sports Day, the award-winning sports-ecological event “Zero Waste – Be Part of the Game – Let’s Protect Our Planet” took place.

This year, our Zero Waste event was held across all four participating countries of Plazma Youth Sports Games, with 30 events in Croatia attended by over 35,000 participants. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 10,500 participants joined 21 Zero Waste events, 36,250 children and young people took part in 30 events in Serbia, while in Slovenia, where we held the Games for the first time, 9,450 children and young people participated in 21 events focusing on education and our green circuit.

Our project Zero Waste was awarded Zeleni leptir this year as part of Rezolucija Zemlja, project organized by Večernji List. The main focus of Rezolucija Zemlja is to combine concrete socially beneficial ecological activities and, through them, influence the broader public and actively raise awareness about the environment and its protection.

In 2024, we implemented the sports-ecological initiative Zero Waste – Be Part of the Game – Let’s Protect Our Planet at all this year’s competitions, educating 328,870 participants of the Plazma Youth Sports Games.

At the educational circuit in Split, children participating in the International Finals once again demonstrated how sports and ecology go hand in hand. Zoran Bogdanović, CEO of Coca-Cola HBC, presented them with special awards.
